Event Tip Odds Explanation

Jaguars @ Titans

28 Oct 2016

Jacksonville Jaguars (+3.5) 5/6 These two AFC South rivals are both struggling for form (the Jaguars are 2-4 and the Titans are 3-4) but they are still in contention in their division so a win would be a real boost. To be honest, neither team looks like a good one to back because they are both capable of losing games that they should win and conceding a fair few points. However, it's notable that the Titans rarely cover the handicap, especially at home where it has been over a year since they managed to do that. Their recent victories over the Jaguars have all been by narrow margins and therefore, even though it's all a small handicap, it's worth backing the Jaguars with the start.

QPR vs Brentford

28 Oct 2016

Under 2.5 goals 3/4 QPR and Brentford have almost identical records (five wins, four draws and five defeats each), with goal difference the only thing separating them and even then, not by much. At home, QPR have only managed more than one goal in a game on one occasion this season and that was on the opening day of the season. The same is true for Brentford's away form, with a 2-1 win at Brighton the only time they managed more than a single goal. It's a difficult game to call but, with the teams showing that kind of form in front of goal, it looks like it could be a tight affair with very few chances converted. For that reason I'm going to back under 2.5 goals for this Friday night game.

S'land vs Arsenal

29 Oct 2016

Arsenal to win & over 2.5 goals 10/11 Arsenal continue to impress with their early season form, but they might be a little disappointed with their last two Premier League results as they conceded two goals to Swansea at the Emirates and then failed to beat struggling Middlesbrough. That could be bad news for Sunderland because there is a good chance that the Gunners have put their potential slip ups behind them and they will have an extra focus not to drop points in a game they should win comfortably. Wenger's side have kept six clean sheets in their last seven games in all competitions and they have had some real success in front of goal. If they play anywhere close to their best they should easily beat a Sunderland side that has earned just two points in nine games so far.

Man U vs Burnley

29 Oct 2016

Man Utd (-2) 31/20 It may only have been the EFL Cup and against an understrength Man City side, but Wednesday's derby win will have done a lot of good for morale and confidence at Man Utd. It means they come out of a tough period on a positive note and next up is a game that should be much easier for them as they take on 14th placed Burnley. The Clarets are expected to be in a relegation scrap this season and their away form could well cost them dear because they have a 100% losing record in their Premier League away games so far and have conceded three goals in each game. That's not the kind of record to take with you to Old Trafford and we can expect a confident United side to add to Burnley's away woes.

M'brough vs B'mouth

29 Oct 2016

Middlesbrough to win 29/20 There are definite signs of improvement at Middlesbrough as they conceded just two goals in their last three games, but it's notable that they only managed to secure two points from those fixtures. If they don't start to get some wins soon then things might start to get desperate because it's notable that they have claimed just one win this season and that was on the second weekend, which feels like a long time ago. Bournemouth are doing much better and they are unbeaten in their last four games despite facing the likes of Everton, Watford and Spurs. However, the visitors have taken just two points from five away games so far and that's the kind of form that could present Boro a chance to claim a much-needed win.

Spurs vs Leic

29 Oct 2016

Half-time/Full-time: 1/1 6/4 Tuesday's EFL Cup loss at Anfield was Spurs' fourth game in a row without a win - a stark contrast to the seven wins in nine games that preceded that bad run. In contrast, Leicester have won three and drawn one of their last five games (their best run of form so far this season) but it is notable that those four positive results all came at home. On the road it has been somewhat different for the Foxes as they have lost four out of four in the league and conceded 13 goals in the process. It seems that they aren't adapting well to life as champions and Spurs will look to take advantage of this by starting strong and letting the doubt set in among the Leicester players.

Watford vs Hull

29 Oct 2016

Watford to win & over 2.5 goals 9/5 You wouldn't want to be a Hull defender at the moment. In their last five league games the Tigers have conceded 19 goals, and unsurprisingly they lost all four of those games (most of them heavily). It's even worse away from home, where they have conceded 11 goals in two games and it's a far cry from early in the season when it looked like Hull might shock a few people. Meanwhile, Watford have only won one game at home this season - a 3-1 victory over Man Utd - which is a surprise when you look at their attacking talent. However, they can improve that record this weekend and probably grab a few goals as well.

WBA vs Man C

29 Oct 2016

Man City (-1) 6/5 Wednesday's defeat at Old Trafford was City's sixth game in a row without a win, which is now the longest winless streak in Pep Guardiola's managerial career. That's quite an achievement and not one that many would've expected after City's blistering start to the season. In truth, they have been a little unlucky in some of those games and that's why I think the dry spell will end in style at West Brom. City will be hurting and are likely to start on the attack; with Aguero and De Bruyne now fit and Sterling playing well, that will likely mean goals galore for the visitors. West Brom will try their best to hold firm but the City tidal wave will break them down eventually. Back a big away win.

Palace vs L'pool

29 Oct 2016

Liverpool to win 7/10 There's lots of confidence in the Liverpool dressing room and that's hardly surprising because they are unbeaten in their last ten games in all competitions (winning eight of those games) and they have scored some impressive wins this season against the likes of Arsenal, Leicester and Chelsea. Meanwhile, Palace have slipped a little and have taken just a point from their last three games. They have claimed some good wins over Liverpool in recent years but it's notable that the Reds won 2-1 on their last two visits to Selhurst Park and I think they can make it three wins in a row at the home of the Eagles so long as they don't take anything for granted.

7 Betting Tips for the Occasional Bettor

If you’re not an expert in the field, sports betting can sometimes appear quite daunting. However, fear not because we have a few helpful hints to make life easier for you when you want to place a bet.

7. Take advantage of promotions - Join Titanbet and straight away you qualify for a generous free bet and then you can get more with our regular promotions. That’s not all because with various moneyback offers, you can sometimes get your money back if things don’t go as expected.

6. Check the teamsheet - It may sound simple but it can make a huge difference. For example, if a Premier League team are facing a lower league side in a cup competition, the Premier League side will be expected to win and the odds will reflect this. However, their priorities may lie elsewhere and so they could decide to rest some key players, leaving an upset a distinct possibility. In circumstances like this, it is possible to pick up some generous odds and potentially big winnings by betting on the underdog.

5. Analyse the form -  If you fancy a bet on horse racing then form is one of the most important factors in choosing a horse. With a quick glance at the form, you can see how well each horse is doing in general, how they perform in certain conditions, and what kind of races they tend to do well in. This can then be used to help you select a likely winner for your chosen race. Form also plays a part in many other sports, particularly when looking at past meetings between opponents and so is not necessarily limited to just horse racing.

4. Get Some Help - With thousands of bets to choose from, it can be difficult to decide who or what to bet on. It doesn’t have to be that way because there are various tools available to help you pick the right bet: you can use some tips from experts such as the ones provided by the Titanbet bloggers above, you can read match previews to see what people expect to happen in an upcoming game, or you can use a feature like Titanbet’s top bets to see what other people are betting on right now.

3. Don’t chase losses - Sometimes bets win and sometimes they lose, it’s part of the fun of betting and important to accept. If your bet happens to lose then it is best to accept it and move on rather than try to win the money back by selecting a new bet with higher odds. If you start choosing bets because the winnings will cover a previous loss, you will probably be ignoring the other advice on this page and not choosing the best bets for you.

2. Look at the Stats - There are statistics for just about every sport all over the internet and they can be invaluable in helping you select your bets. Take football for example. With a quick search you can find out things like the average number of goals a team scores and concedes, how often they score first, how many times they have kept a clean sheet, whether a particular player scores first or last more often, and much more besides. Armed with such information, you can choose smarter bets the majority of the time.

1. Make a budget … and stick to it - Only ever bet with money you can afford to lose and that way you stay in full control and can enjoy your betting. It’s a simple but important rule to follow.
